Spectra Oven Locked Door

If there are screws near the top or front that attach the oven top to the base unscrew them and pull the oven top up.

If you haven t cleaned the oven but the door still seems locked try sliding the latch to the left gently without force. Clear the lock mechanism as indicated by the door loc light by pressing and holding in the oven door light switch for 20 to 30 seconds. It will look like a small black post or dowel. Press the clean pad wait 10 seconds.

Don t force the latch. 2 wait approximately 10 minutes and reapply power to the oven. 1 remove power to the oven unplug the oven from the power outlet or flip the circuit breaker for the oven. If it doesn t move freely wait for the oven to cool a little longer and try again.

Detach the oven door. If no food or utensils are in the oven start a self clean cycle then hit clear off after 60 seconds. I added the instructions for removing the oven door below. If there is food in the oven let the oven cool to room temperature and try to unlatch the door.
