Using a pencil we added a few very light guide lines on the wall to make sure they were going on straight. Placing the tile around electrical outlets was tricky. The concept is there they re truly beautiful when you look at them but a stronger adhesive is a must and they would look so much better if the white was just a little more opaque. According to smart tiles the only materials needed are a piece of chalk or a pencil. After the wall was clean and dry we made sure we had enough tiles to cover the wall.

If you want your walls to look like they have stick on vinyl tiles on them then these are ok. The tiles are frost proof and the heavy duty adhesive will stick indoors or out. Especially designed for backsplash in kitchen and bathroom environments the tiles are resistant to the heat of stovetops and the humidity of bathrooms do not use in shower. Imo it is worth the money and effort to do it right with real tiles.

While the adhesive has proven to be durable so far the discoloration of the white tiles leaves me disappointed in the product. I used this as my kitchen back splash and it turned out great.
